About KIds Breaking League (KBL)

Kids Breaking League (KBL) is a premier youth dance organization dedicated to teaching the authentic art, culture, and athleticism of breakdancing. Founded by professional breaker and Dynamic Rockers president Kid Glyde, KBL is headquartered at KBL Studios in Harlem, New York, and has expanded its educational footprint across the tri-state area with active programs spanning into Brooklyn and the Bronx. The league provides a safe, high-energy environment for the next generation of dancers to build supreme confidence and master foundational skills, whether they are taking their very first beginner class or performing with the elite Dynamic Kids Performance Squad.

Beyond the studio walls, KBL serves as a critical pipeline for both competitive youth breaking and community enrichment. Drawing on top-tier coaching experience with the USA Youth Breaking Team and sanctioned pathways through AAU Breaking, KBL provides dedicated students with the mentorship and high-level training necessary to compete on national and global stages. As an approved NYC Department of Education vendor, the organization also brings the history and foundation of Hip Hop directly into schools through interactive assemblies and physical education residencies, ensuring that the transformative power of breaking is accessible to youth everywhere.

About Dynamic Rockers

The Dynamic Rockers were established in 1979 in Queens, New York, bringing a fresh and explosive energy to the early breakdance scene. Originally formed by Eddie Ed (Osvaldo Luna), the crew stood out by fusing traditional Bronx footwork and uprocking with gymnastics and acrobatic power moves. This high-level athletic foundation gave the crew a visual intensity that set them apart, helping propel breaking from underground park jams into the national spotlight.

In 1981, the crew cemented its place in hip-hop history during their legendary battle against the Rock Steady Crew at the United Skates of America in Queens, which was followed by a historic televised rematch at Lincoln Center. These iconic moments, along with early national media appearances, helped introduce b-boying to mainstream American audiences for the first time.

At the heart of the Dynamic Rockers' longevity is a profound story of family and generational legacy. The crew's leadership and traditions were passed down from foundational member and longtime leader, Glyde, to his son, Kid Glyde, who continues to guide the crew into the 21st century as its current president. Today, over 45 years later, the Dynamic Rockers remain an active, driving force in the culture. Through ongoing competition, international mentorship, and our structured curriculum, we are dedicated to helping the next generation Break out Your Shell and Find your voice. The foundation has never changed: respect the culture, elevate the art, and always show up for the community.
